In the Baby Room, tender loving care comes top of our list of priorities. We have created a secure homely environment where babies are able to find his / her feet and explore his / her surroundings with qualified supervision.
This is a very exciting period in a child's life, there is so much for them to discover and explore. Fantasy and role-playing feature strongly as they develop their thought processes and become more confident.
At this stage in your child's development we aim to provide good quality ante pre-school education through 'Curriculum for Excellence' to meet their educational needs coupled with good quality childcare. Our nursery focuses on child based learning. The staff allow children to learn through their own experiences and encourage them to challenge their own thinking thus enabling them to build confidence in their own ability.
By following the 'Curriculum for Excellence' your child will help set their own success criteria and be fully involved in their own learning. In your their pre-school year we aim to expand their education in a fun and exciting way, helping your child reach their full potential. Topics are researched in depth giving all children the tools and skills to push their learning needs and experiences to an exciting new level.
This room has introduced a further dimension to the child's play; it can be used for a great variety of games, action songs, sensory activities and all aspects of physical play regardless of the weather outside. The room has been fitted out in bright colours, with a choice of bright or subdued lighting. it has proved to be an extremely popular addition to our facility at Technotots and one, which all age groups are able to enjoy and benefit from.
Outside play is planned for and can provide exciting opportunities to develop most areas of learning and the learning goals within these.
The children are encouraged to use the garden and resources with a high level of independence.
We see outdoors as a classroom in itself and will take the children out in all types of weather.
Our Team is led by Jayne Gooddard, (B.Ed, Dip SEN (N.R)). Along side our Depute and Senior supervisor, Jayne oversees the everyday running of the nursery to ensure that an excellent standard of care and education are met.
Our childcare professionals are highly trained with relevant qualifications and have a great knowledge, experience and passion to ensure your child's time is full of valuable and exciting learning experiences.
Each staff member is registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and adhere to the Codes of Practice set out by them. They also each have a current Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Certificate which is updated every three years. All staff are trained in Child Protection, infection Control, Paediatric First Aid and are well versed in nursery policies.
We are confident that our staff will contribute greatly to your child becoming a Confident Individual, Effective Contributor, Responsible Citizen and a Successful Learner.

We have always set high standards for ourselves and the way we look after the children in our care. We continually review these to ensure we stay at the top of our game. We are also bound by the strict guidelines set out by the government and monitored and assessed.
We are very proud of our excellent record here at Technotots and take our duty of care to parents, government agencies, and most importantly our children, very seriously indeed.
We heard about Technotots from other people who had children at Technotots. We visited a couple of nurseries - Technotots was the first and it made such an impression on us that we felt the others just didn’t live up to it. I thought Technotots had a warm, personal feel about it where the others seemed more ‘corporate’ and much less welcoming. When we were shown around, it was more the older kids’ room we saw and I was impressed by the kinds of activities/learning etc they do.

I had been viewing a number of childcare facilities and Technotots by far gave me the best feeling, from Angela’s cheery and friendly personality the minute we walked in the door to everyone being happy and chatty in each room we went into, the number of staff per room and the children all being happy, engaged and content. After viewing several nurseries, and a bad experience with a previous nursery we chose Technotots due to the attitude towards care of our children expressed at our initial inspection with Boo and Dawn. Not only did Boo listen to our queries but she advised us fully on the history of the nursery and its full curriculum. We left feeling satisfied and know that Technotots was definitely the nursery for our kids. Five star staff and care. Technotots is a safe warm and super friendly environment which provides outstanding childcare!! All members of staff are patient and excellent with the children. The xmas pantomimes that they organise are fabulous and the preschool graduation is 1st class. Don’t view anywhere else, enrol your precious child here as each child is precious to the staff at Technotots!

I chose Technotots because the staff are very professional and take the welfare and safety of my child seriously. They also make sure I am kept up to date with his progress and are honest with me if he has any difficulties during his time there. They are also a very friendly bunch of people who always stop for a quick chat.

We had viewed several nurseries but we were instinctively drawn to the environment at Technotots which we thought was just what a nursery should be – Warm, bright, messy and lively. Crawford loved the fact that all the children shouted ‘good morning’ when we looked around and we both loved the focus on manners at the golden table. I also viewed the Care Commission report – so essentially it was the whole package.

I chose Technotots for lots of reasons! It was the only nursery on visiting that Aileigh took off her jacket and was happy for us to visit the other rooms. Great feel for the place. Could tell the teachers genuinely like their jobs and kids. Very caring! I love the new and ‘out of the box’ ideas. They have fun, fun, fun at Technotots.

Staff were very helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed. Technotots had a friendly feel and wasn’t overcrowded. There was a proper garden area that was safe. The soft play and lighting was impressive. It was nice to see the babies out and about in the prams. Lots of toys. The Care Inspectorate reports were glowing. The children had a wide variety of projects. The staff presented as happy. Technotots was clean and there were no unpleasant smells. We knew Rory would be very happy at Technotots. The environment appeared well looked after and safe.
